There are several front control UI (User
I
nterface) configurations. There is a four
button configuration and a six or eight button
configuration. There is also a Top Control
configuration. This section will cover the UI and
console assemblies. Diagnosis is covered in the
Main Control Diagnostics
section of this guide.
Front Control UI: Four Button
A smaller User Interface (UI) is used on four
button models lowering the overall number of
components in the console area.
To remove the UI assembly or to access the
button tree, remove four 1/4-inch hex-head
screws.
The front control console is held in place by four
tabs on the pocket handle.
Front Control Console Removal
1. Remove the door and separate the inner and
outer door panels.
2. Remove the vent cover from the inner door.
3. Push down on the pocket handle, then lift up
and away from the console on tabs to release
the console from the pocket handle.
4. Tilt the bottom upward. When both sides are
released, rotate the console to release the
tabs at the top of the console.
