Part Install Instructions
When replacing the control board, the dryer will not operate
until the replacement control board personality has been set.
GE CleanSpeak™ Dryer Control Board Personality Instructions
Once the control board has been replaced, follow all of the
steps below to properly set the personality. If The control
powers up with all of the user interface (UI) LEDs blinking,
only follow steps 5-8.
Step 1- Begin with the dryer in idle mode (No LED’s or display on).
Step 2- Simultaneously press and hold the Start pad (in some models press Start/Pause pad)
and rotate the cycle select knob 8 clicks clockwise or counter clockwise to enter Field Service
Mode.
Step 3- Upon entering the service mode, the Control will be in test selection mode and
display the test number according the knob position; the default test number is t1.
Rotating the knob counter clockwise will decrease the test number in the display. Rotating the
knob clockwise will increase the test number in the display.
Step 4- Rotate the knob counter clockwise or clockwise until the display shows td, then press
the [Start or Start/Pause] button to initiate the “Set Model” Procedure. All LED’s will begin
blinking.
