Refer to the engine manufacturer’s
operation manual for further information and
specifications.
Fuel Filters
Primary Fuel Filter (Water Separator)
The Primary Fuel Filter (located on rear
left-hand side of machine behind hydraulic oil
reservoir) should be drained of water and
other deposits daily. Replace the filter every
500 hours of operation or yearly, whichever
occurs first.
Secondary Fuel Filter
The Secondary Fuel Filter (located on
rear left-hand side of machine behind
hydraulic oil reservoir) should be replaced
every 500 hours of operation or yearly,
whichever occurs first.
NOTE: John Deere recommends specific
high performance fuel filters, which
will aid in achieving optimum engine
performance and efficiency. Refer to
the engine manufacturer’s operation
manual for further information and
specifications.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
Supply Module Filter
(Final Tier 4 Engines)
The DEF Supply Module Filter (located
beneath the DEF Supply Module - access
from underside of machine) should be
replaced every 4,500 hours of operation or
every three (3) years, whichever occurs first.
Refer to the engine manufacturer’s
operation manual for further information and
specifications.
1. Rotate the DEF Supply Module Filter in
the “counter-clockwise” position to
loosen.
2. Remove and discard filter.
3. Install new DEF Supply Module Filter
and rotate in the “clockwise” position to
tighten.
