Line Sensor
Signal
1. Access the Utilities mode of operation by pressing and holding
SHAKER
while switching the power on. Hold
SHAKER
until the UTLITIES menu
appears on the display.
2. Press
MODIFY PROGRAM
to move the arrow to DIAGNOSTICS and
then press
START
.
3. Press
MODIFY PROGRAM
until the arrow point to TRANSDUCERS and
then press
START
.
Note: The device must be on at least 10 minutes before taking any readings.
If adjustment is needed, remove the line sensor side covers and adjust R9 on
the proper line sensor PCB to the following specs.
1. Measure and record the value of the Clear reading. Verify the digital
red L/S value is between 2866 and 3276.
2. If calibration is necessary for the red line sensor, adjust the
potentiometer that is on the same side as the cover hinge to read 3071 +/
-30 digital counts.
3. Slide a black shim between the LED and sensor head of the line sensor.
Measure and record the black shim. Verify the digital LINE SENS value
is between 0 and 103.
4. Measure and record the value of the clear shim. Verify the Y/G L/S digital
value is between 3031 and 3195.
5. If calibration is necessary for the Y/G line sensor, adjust the
potentiometer that is on the side opposite the cover hinge to read 3112 +/
-30 digital counts.
6. Slide a black shim between the LED and sensor head of the line sensor.
Measure and record the black shim. Verify the digital LINE SENS value
is between 0 and 103.
7. If no glyptol has been applied to the line sensor adjustment pots, apply
glyptol and replace the line sensor access covers.
A/D Calibration
1. Access the Utilities mode of operation by pressing and holding
SHAKER
while switching the power on. Hold
SHAKER
until the UTLITIES menu
appears on the display.
2. Press
MODIFY PROGRAM
to move the arrow to CALIBRATION and
then press
START
.
3. The message REMOVE MEMORY PROTECTION OR STRIKE STOP
appears.
4. Switch the memory protect switch located toward the bottom of the CPU
board (the left-most card cage board, looking from the rear of the unit) to
the Protect Off mode (down). The calibration screen appears with two
choices: A/D and CENTRIFUGE.
5. Press
MODIFY PROGRAM
to move the arrow to A/D.
6. Press
START
.
