Maintenance & Care
Accumulators
The unit is powered by high quality
Lithium
Iron
Phosphate
accumulators. These accumulators
have a long life span and are very
safe. Thermal runaway is not
possible with these accumulators.
Accumulator running time
With fully charged accumulators
and a speed of 22.000 rpm in empty
running this unit has an operating
time of approximately 10 hours.
Charging display
When switching the unit on, the
number of bars in the display will
show you the current state of
charge of the accumulators:
10 bars = fully charged
1 bar = almost empty
Charging process
Only use charging device, which
have been approved by hadewe.
Never use any charging units,
which are not explicitly listed in the
technical data section at the end of
this manual. Charging units of other
manufacturers may damage the unit
by giving out too much power, and
may even cause the unit to burn.
To charge the unit, connect the
charging unit to the charging socket
at back of the unit, and connect the
plug to mains. During the charging
operation you will see a moving line
in
the
display.
Once
the
accumulators are fully charged, the
display will show the word “FULL”. If
the accumulators are empty, the
charging time should take approx.
2 hours.
Working with the unit is possible
during the charging process, but the
charging of the unit will take longer
time then. Should the unit be
completely empty, the accumulators
will have to be charged for at least 5
minutes, before the unit can be
switched on again.
Warning LED
If the remaining charge of the unit is
10% or less, the LED at the front of
the unit will start to blink.
Warning signal (acoustic)
As with all kinds of accumulators a
complete discharge of them will
damage the cells. To prevent this,
the unit will alert the user with a
loud warning sound as soon as a
deep discharge is imminent. You
will now have approximately 3
weeks to re-charge the unit to
prevent
the
cells
from
being
damaged.
In case you cannot recharge the
unit, and still want to turn of the
warning signal, you would have to
remove the accumulators by a
professional
(see
“change
accumula
tors”). Attention: Removed
accumulators are still discharging
themselves.
Charge
these
accumulators as soon as possible.
