8.2 Modem
8.2.1 Modem connection
This connection is for interfacing the optional internal modem (1602) with a standard
public telephone line.
8.2.2 Modem programming

From the Main Menu, select
OPTIONS, ADVANCED OPTION, COMMUNICATIONS
SETUP
.
Note: There is no way of independently enabling power to just the internal modem without also
enabling the power to the Cellular Communications Option if it is present. However, this poses no
problem even if the sampler is physically connected directly to a phone line without a cellular phone.
2.
Highlight Modem Setup using the
UP
and
DOWN
keys. Press
ACCEPT
.
3.
Enable modem power by pressing
CHANGE CHOICE
. Modem power is turned off
when not in use to conserve battery power.
4.
Select pulse or tone dialing modes. This will depend on the type of phone service
selected for the site phone line. Press
ACCEPT
.
