ORBISPHERE
Once a product is selected, you can now enter/modify the default parameters. Note that
modifications are only activated the next time a run is started for this product. They are
not real-time changes.
Select the CO
2
method to be used for measuring this product, from the
CO2 method
box
in the bottom left-hand corner. There is a choice between
TRUE CO2
and
CO2 PT
. The
left side of the three-column screen display will show the method chosen, and the right-
hand column will show the other method.
The
Product Name
should contain an accurate description of the product being
measured (e.g. Lemonade, Diet Cola, etc.), as it is used for identification purposes on
screen displays and data collection.
Enter a value into the
Tfiller [s]
box. This value is the estimated time (in seconds) for the
sample to travel from the ProBrix instrument to the place where samples are picked up
for Lab tests.
Now enter the measurement parameters into the CO
2
and Brix/Diet columns:
•
Units:
Choose the desired measurement unit for this product from the drop-down
lists. The choice also determines the product calibration options available (see
“Diet Calibration” on page 60 for more details on the calibration process applicable
to your choice of unit).
• Offset:
To apply fixed offsets to either CO
2
or Brix/Diet measurements, enter a
positive or negative value in the appropriate box. This value is then used to
compute new measurement values.
• Max. offset:
Enter the maximum offset value. Offsets, either entered manually, or
computed during the Lab Test process, will not be allowed to exceed this value.
