The extension cable must not be longer than 1000 m. Also use for the
extension only two-wire, shielded cable (at least 2 x 0.2 mm²) (24 AWG).
The power supply of the signal converter should be connected to the
terminals L, N or PE (at 100–240 V AC).

The digital input can only be used for the control of the
EVITA
®
INSITU transmitter. This function can be switched off via the
USC.
Note:
The digital input is available for the USC 5000 and USC 7000.

The model USC 7000 can communicate using HART
®
multidrop protocol
with up to 15 EVITA
®
OXY transmitters. It requires only two cables for
this.
The individual transmitters must be connected outside of the USC
junction box in parallel. With this inside the USC 7000 only two cables
and one shield are connected.
Note:
Components such as motors, pumps and computers can cause
great potential differences between the protective ground conductor and
the medium to be measured. This can lead to fluctuating measurement
values. If this problem occurs, you should install a ground electrode in

The separating foil must not be removed from its original installation.
Bending of the separating foil is not a problem (e.g. when wiring the
