Powering On and Powering Off 

This section describes how to power on/off the straight-through module. 

4.1  Powering On the Straight-Through Module 

The straight-through module is automatically powered on when the chassis is powered on. Upon 

successful power-on, the Health indicator is steady green. For specific location of the indicator, see

The straight-through module that has already been installed before chassis power-on will be 

automatically powered on when the chassis is powered on. Manual operation is not required. 

•

 

The straight-through module that is installed after chassis power-on will be automatically 

powered on. Manual operation is not required. 

4.2  Powering Off the Straight-Through Module 

The straight-through module is automatically powered off when the chassis is powered off. Manual 

operation is not required. Upon successful power-off, the Health indicator is off. For specific 

location of the indicator, see
