first message, the lifetime for DNS server addresses is 0 seconds. The second RA message
does not carry any DNS server options.
•
If the interface has no DNS server information specified or no AAA-authorized DNS server
address assigned, no RA messages are triggered.
•
If you specify a new DNS server or remove a DNS server, the device immediately sends an RA
message without any DNS server address options.
Whether disabling this feature on an interface will trigger sending RA message immediately for DNS
server information update depends on the interface configuration:
•
If the interface has been configured with the DNS server information or has obtained an
AAA-authorized DNS server address, the device immediately sends an RA message carrying
the DNS server information.
•
If the interface has no DNS server information specified or no AAA-authorized DNS server
address assigned, no RA messages are triggered.
Each time the device sends an RA message from an interface, it immediately refreshes the RA
message advertisement interval for that interface.
