For a –48 VDC powered switch, if none of the first two
conditions mentioned above is available, ground it through
the return (RTN) wire of the DC power supply. In this case,
make sure this RTN wire is well connected to the ground at
the DC output of the DC power cabinet.

3.4 Connecting the Console Cable
3.4.1 Console Cable
A console cable is an 8-core cable. One end of the cable is a
crimped RJ-45 connector, which is connected to the console port of
the switch, and the other end is a DB-9 female connector, which is
connected to the serial port on the console terminal, as shown below.
