1.2.7 Configuring the TCP Test
Caution:
You are not recommended to perform an NQA TCP test on ports from 1 to 1023 (known
ports). Otherwise, the NQA test will fail or the corresponding services of this port will be
unavailable.
The TCP test is used to test the TCP connection between the client and the specified
server and the setup time for the connection.
The TCP test includes TCP-Public test and TCP-Private test.

For the TCP-Public test, a connection setup request is permanently initiated to
TCP port 7 of the destination address. No destination port needs to be configured
on the client, but TCP port 7 used for listening needs to be configured on the
server. Even if a port is configured on the client, the port does not take effect.

For the TCP-Private test, a connection setup request is initiated to the specified
port of the destination address.
