Installing a SATA drive
CAUTION:
•
Always wear an ESD wrist strap when installing a SATA drive and hold the drive by its two sides.
•
Do not touch any components of the drive, or squeeze, shake, or strike the drive.
No SATA drive is provided with the device. Purchase one as needed.
To install a SATA drive:
1.
Push the drive slowly into the drive carrier with the golden plating on it facing downwards.
2.
Use the four fastening screws provided with the driver carrier to secure the drive to the drive
carrier.

Remove the filler panel from the drive slot.
4.
Press the red button on the drive carrier to release the locking lever. Then gently push the drive
into the slot.
5.
Close the locking lever to secure the drive into place.
