Replacing a SIC interface module
CAUTION:
SICs are not hot swappable. Make sure the device is powered off before you remove a SIC.
To replace a SIC:
1.
Loosen the captive screws on the SIC. Then pull the SIC slowly out of the slot along the guide
rails.
2.
Install a new SIC in the slot. For information about the installation procedure, see "Installing a
SIC interface module."
If you are not to install a new SIC, install a filler panel in the slot and fasten the screws on the
filler panel.
