Trouble Shooting
Symptoms or Errors
When PCI out of resource and the following warning messages may appear during POST and the server halts:

PCI out of resource
·
PCI resource error
·
Insufficient PCI resources detected
·
There is not enough available PCI memory
Solution
Disconnect Falcon 4010 from the host
Go to the host BIOS
→
Advanced settings
Enable 4G decoding
Set MMIO High Size to 512G or higher
Specific example: SuperMicro Server

Temporarily remove the connection of GPU expansion chassis (unplug connected cable)

Go to the BIOS
Advanced
a.
Advanced->PCIe/PCI/PnP configuration-> Above 4G Decoding to
Enabled
b.
Advanced->PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration->MMIOHBase to
56T
c.
Advanced->PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration->MMIO High Size to
512G
or higher
3.
Connect the GPU expansion chassis to the server and see if the server boots properly
Specific example: Intel Xeon Phi Server

Temporarily remove the connection of GPU expansion chassis (unplug connected cable)
