Overtemperature pre-warning (control electronics)
LED 4+5+6 light up and 100 %-LED flashes
Even though the
i
MAPLA system is designed for continuous operation, it may
become too hot. This risk exists when, under a fill load, the cooling of the
generator (for “One Unit”) or the control electronics (for “External Unit”) is
impaired, or when the temperature of the cooling air exceeds the maximum
permissible value of 40 °C.
Temperature warning, control electronics
y
The temperature in the control electronics has exceeded the pre-warning
threshold.
The
i
MAPLA system is secured against being switched back on again until
the temperature in the control electronics has reduced further and the
overtemperature pre-warning goes out.
If the
i
MAPLA system is used under load despite the overtemperature
pre-warning, the temperature increases further and after approximately
10 minutes, the system is shut down immediately due to the temperature
exceeding the threshold.
Troubleshooting measures
If the overtemperature pre-warning occurs once:
>
Switch off the lifting magnet and either run the
i
MAPLA system in idle, or
switch off the drive unit until the overtemperature pre-warning disappears
again.
If the overtemperature pre-warning occurs again:
>
Switch off the drive unit and secure against being switched on again
(e.g. remove the ignition key and keep it in a safe place).
>
Allow the generator (and the switch box for the “External Unit”) to cool off.
Caution
Burn hazard
y
Parts of the
i
MAPLA system can get very hot during and after
operation.
►
Allow the
i
MAPLA-System and parts to cool down before
touching.
