Figure 276 Peripheral Input / Output Overview
Name
- A unique name used for each IO connection in the camera software. The same name
is used by the ONVIF-conformant camera API. The name can't be changed.
Type
- Describes whether the connection is an Input or an Output. The type is fixed by the
camera hardware and can't be changed.
State
- Indicates the state of the IO connection the last time the page was updated. To update
at will, switch to another menu (such as "Users") for a moment.
Idle State
- The electrical state of the Input or Output circuit that should be defined as inactive.
The opposite state is therefore defined as active.
Mode
- For Outputs only. Defines whether the Output should be Latching or Momentary type.

If you want to assign these inputs to trigger a rule in the camera's internal
Events
system,
simply choose the Trigger called
Device/Trigger > Digital Input
and activating either one of
these inputs will trigger the rule. For the trigger to be cleared, both inputs must be inactive.
