Figure 275 Install Root CA Certificate
You can now connect to the camera over HTTPS without security warning.
Follow the process defined in your VMS to upload the Root CA to your VMS if required.
HTTPS enables RTP, WebRTC video and all data to be encrypted.
HTTP is enabled by default as it is required by some discovery tools, for secure access it
is recommended to turn off HTTP and communicate to the camera over HTTPS only.
To turn off HTTP via the Camera Web Interface go to
Device > Security > Client Connectivity
> Connection.
5.8.6.2.12 IP Address Restrictions
Control which clients have access to the camera by allowing or blocking acc
ess to specified IP
addresses.
•
Set a Blacklist to block access to added IP addresses.
•
Set a Whitelist to allow access only to added IP addresses.
To set IP address filtering via the Camera Web Interface go to:
Device > Security > IP Filter
Type
and choose between Whitelist and Blacklist. IP addresses can be added individually.
Only one type of list can be in effect at any one time.
5.8.6.2.13 Closed and Controlled Intranet
To minimize the risk of external attack it is strongly recommended to place the camera and
associated VMS on a closed controlled intranet.
