To create a new user account via the Camera Web Interface, go to
Users
, and select the
+
Create New User
button located in the top right-hand corner.
The administrator can create up to 255 user accounts.
The following user settings can be selected and edited.

5.7.1.2.1 Username
Set an easily identifiable and memorable username for the new user. The name must be
between 4-12 characters in length. The username can consist of uppercase letters (A-Z),
lowercase letters (a-z) and numbers (0-9). Special characters are not supported.
Once created the username cannot be updated, to change it the user would need to be
deleted and recreated.
5.7.1.2.2 Password
It is important to always set and use a secure password to access the camera, therefore the
camera enforces strong password criteria for all user accounts as specified below:
- Minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 32.
- The password requires at least one uppercase letter (A-Z), one lowercase letter (a-z), one
number (0-9) and one special character. The following special characters are supported
For enhanced security repetitive or sequential characters (e.g. ‘aaa’, ‘123’, ‘abc’ or ‘321’)
are no longer supported when creating a new password. V2.0.x firmware or above
required to access this feature. For existing installations where repetitive or sequential
characters have been setup using Firmware prior to V2.x, these will still be supported,
however any new users created will need to follow the new security criteria for password
setting.
