5.4.3.2 Impact of Camera Reboot or Reset on Recordings
If the camera is
Rebooted
, the camera configuration will be saved and unaffected. However,
any active recordings will of course be interrupted while the camera reboots. The recording will
restart automatically when the camera is back online and streaming.
If the camera is
Reset to Factory Defaults
, recorded files and recording configuration
data will not be deleted from the microSD card. The recording configurations will be copied
to the camera once the camera restarts, however the recording configurations will be
changed to an inactive state and will need to be activated to restart local recording on the
microSD card. The previous recorded data is still searchable and can be downloaded. To
delete it, the recording configuration needs to be deleted. Go to
Recording > Recording
Configuration
and select
Delete
button next to the recording configuration in the
summary table.
Events
Alarm Rules
5.5.1.1 Alarm Rules Overview
Alarm Rules enable the camera to perform an action, for example turning on a recording or
enabling a hardware output, once a specified event trigger has occurred such as motion
detected in a specified region of the scene.
In this section you can create and edit event-based alarm rules. The summary table of all alarm
rules is accessible via
Events > Alarm
Rules
and provides an overview of the key
characteristics of each configured rule, such as the event trigger and associated action type
and name, as well as the controls to edit and delete them.
Event based Recording Configurations are accessible via
Recording > Recording
Configuration.
These are also alarm rules, and therefore will also be displayed in the alarm
rules summary table.
