AIR INLET & CHIMNEY DAMPERS
Inlets & Chimney Dampers' Operation
The controller adjusts the opening of inlets and chimney dampers
according to the operation of the ventilation stages. As the
temperature increases and new stages are activated, the inlet and
chimney dampers are opened or closed accordingly. The
ventilation curve is divided into steps and the user must program a
new actuator position for each step.
Inlet opening in minimum ventilation:
The inlet is at "Step 0" position during the Off Time portion of a
minimum ventilation cycle and reaches "Step x" position during the
On Time (where "x" represents the fan stage which is used in
minimum ventilation)
Inlet opening in a variable fan stage:
Two openings must be assigned to each variable fan stage: the
inlet position used at the beginning of the stage and the opening at
the end (when variable fans run at full speed).
The graph shows how the inlet opens during 2 consecutive
variable fan stages (stages 1-2) and in 1 constant-speed stage
(stage 3).
