RH Compensation – with Variable Speed
Fans
The minimum speed of the first variable fan stage (i.e., the
minimum ventilation stage) can be adjusted as a function of the
relative humidity level. Refer to the User Setup menu to use this
function.
The minimum speed of the fans can automatically be adjusted as a
function of relative humidity. As the humidity level increases, the
minimum speed increases proportionally to compensate for the
change. At humidity levels or below the humidity set point, the
minimum speed is equal to the normal uncompensated speed.
You can specify the percentage increase in minimum speed for a
relative humidity equal to the humidity set point + 10%.
For example, if the minimum speed is 40% and the compensation
adjustment is 30%, the minimum speed will be adjusted to 70% of
full speed when the humidity rises 10% above the humidity set
point.
In addition to adjusting the minimum speed, the humidity
compensation feature also changes the operation of the minimum
ventilation cycle: if the controller is operating in minimum
ventilation mode when the relative humidity exceeds the humidity
set point, the minimum ventilation fans are operated continuously
rather than cycled.
