6. Dismantling and assembly
6.1 General information
In the following, position numbers of parts are shown with figures
and refer to drawings in section
and parts list
in section
. Letters represent tools and refer to section
Before dismantling
• Switch off the power supply.
• Close the isolating valves, if fitted, to avoid draining the piping
system.
• Disconnect the power supply cable in accordance with local
regulations.
Before assembly
• Order the necessary service kits.
• Clean and check all parts.
• Replace defective parts by new parts.
During assembly
• Tighten screws and nuts according to section
.
• Always replace gaskets and O-rings.
6.2 Dismantling the product
1. Remove the bolt from the pump housing.
2. Remove the pump housing. It may be necessary to use a
plastic hammer (C) or a pinch bar (A) for separating the pump
housing from the motor (156b).
3. Remove the O-ring from the motor.
4. Hold the impeller with a strap wrench (J), and loosen the
impeller nut (67). Remove the impeller nut from the shaft.
5. Remove the impeller.
6. Pull off the rotating shaft seal part using two screwdrivers.
7. Remove the stationary shaft seal part by pushing it from the
back.
6.3 Assembling the product
1. Spray soapy water on the pump shaft and the mounting tool
(I).
2. Fit the stationary shaft seal part on the shaft. Do not touch the
seal face with your fingers.
3. Press the stationary shaft seal part home using a punch of
soft material.
4. Spray soapy water on the rotating shaft seal part.
5. Press the rotating shaft seal part home using a mounting tool
(I).
6. Remove the mounting tool from the pump shaft.
7. Fit the impeller on the shaft.
8. Fit impeller nut (67).
9. Hold the impeller with a strap wrench, and tighten the impeller
nut to the correct torque using a hexagon socket (G) and a
ratchet handle (H).
10. Fit the O-ring on the motor flange, and lubricate it with soapy
water.
11. Fit the pump housing (6).
12. Fasten the motor on the pump housing by cross-tightening the
screws to the correct torque.

sure that the power supply has been switched off.

- Pay attention to the direction of the vent hole, and
ensure that the escaping liquid does not cause
injury to persons or damage to the motor or other
components.
- In hot-liquid installations, pay special attention to
the risk of injury caused by scalding hot liquid.
