7.3.1 Batch mode
Activating the operation mode "Others"
• In the "Operation mode" menu, switch to the "Others" menu
using the [F1] key.
• Use the [Enter] and [Escape] key to return to the "System
choice" menu.
Setting the concentration
• Use the [Escape] key to switch to the "Main menu", display
page 2.
• Use the [F3] key to switch to the "Service mode" menu.
• In the "Service mode" menu, switch to the "Startup mode"
menu using the [F2] key.
• Use the [F1] key to switch to the "Batch concentration" menu.
• Any concentration in the range of 2 to 3.3 g/l ClO
2
can be
entered.
• Press the [F1] key to select the concentration input field.
• Enter the value by pressing the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons
(to change the number) and the [LEFT] and [RIGHT] arrow
buttons (to change the input position).
• Press the [Enter] key to confirm the entry.
• Use the [Enter] and [Escape] key to return to the "Startup
mode" menu.
7.3.2 Current input
• In the "Operation mode" menu, switch to the "Current input"
menu using the [F2] key.
Selection
When selecting the [F1] (0-20 mA) key, for example, the display
shows:
The quantity (ppm) of ClO
2
added, and the max. flow in the main
water line are entered in this menu.
• Switch to the variable field "0.00" using the [F1] key.
• Use the [UP] and [DOWN] keys to change the numerical
value, and the arrow [LEFT] and [RIGHT] keys to change the
input field.
• Enter the value to be added.
• Use the [F1] key to switch to the variable field "Max. flow H
2
O"
and enter the max. volume of water.
• Confirm using [Enter] key.
• Use the [Enter] key again to switch to the menu:
The requisite system capacity is now calculated here, relative to
the amount to be added (ppm) and the existing max. flow rate of
H
2
O.
Example:
• Use the [Enter] key to switch to the menu:
The max. and min. volume of water, which can be supplied with
ClO
2
through the set quantity to be added (ppm), and the
installation size are specified in this menu. The system switches
off below the min. water quantity (system capacity < 2.5 %).
• Activate the operation mode using the [Enter] key.
• Use the [Enter] key to return to the "Operation mode" menu.
• Press the [Escape] key twice to return to the main menu.
Analogous procedure for "4-20 mA" and the "Others" current
input.
In the case of the "Others" current input, current input signals
between 0 and 20 mA can be variably set.
Basic load setting
Use the [F1] key to switch to the variable field 0 g/h, and set a
basic load.
Batch mode
activated
Note
Ensure that the level contacts of the batch containers
are connected and correctly set up. Faulty settings
may result in error messages in the batch mode.

The value for the amount of ClO

added is a "starting
value", which does not necessarily have to
correspond to a ClO

measurement downstream of
the system, because the control calculation is unable
to factor in consumption in the solution line.

Note
If the calculated system capacity is greater than the
size of the system, only the max. possible system
capacity (e.g. 10 g/h) can be dosed.

Note
The basic load depends on the system type. It is
bigger than 2.5 % of the system capacity.
For example, for the system type OCD-164-1000 the
basic load is bigger than 0.25 g/h.
