BALKED LANDING
1)
Power – FULL THROTTLE and 2700 RPM.
2)
Carburetor Heat – OFF.
3)
Airspeed – 80 KIAS.
4)
Flaps – UP.
5)
Landing Gear – UP.
6)
Cowl Flaps – OPEN.
NORMAL LANDING
1)
Touchdown – Main Wheels First.
2)
Landing Roll – Lower Nose Wheel Gently.
3)
Braking – Minimum Required.
AFTER LANDING
1)
Auxiliary Fuel Pumps – OFF.
2)
Carburetor Heat – OFF.
3)
Cowl Flaps – OPEN.
4)
Flaps – UP.
5)
Avionics – AS REQUIRED.
ENGINE SHUTDOWN/SECURING AIRPLANE
1)
Parking Brake – SET.
2)
Propeller Controls – HIGH RPM.
3)
Throttle Controls – 1000 RPM.
4)
Electrical/Avionics Equipment – OFF.
5)
Mixture Controls – IDLE CUTOFF.
6)
Magneto Switches – OFF, after engines stop.
7)
Master Switch – OFF.
8)
Alternator Switches – OFF.
9)
Controls – LOCKED.
10)
Chocks and Tie Downs – IN PLACE.
NOTE
After chocks and tie downs are in place, release the parking brake. Greatly
varying ambient temperatures may build excessive pressure in hydraulic
system, or partially release the brakes.

Parking Brake – RELEASE.
