Possible Solution
Machine does
not start, or
power supply
breaker
immediately
trips after
startup.
1. Machine circuit breaker tripped or at fault.
2. Blown fuse on circuit board.
3. Incorrect power supply voltage or circuit size.
4. Remote control not working.
5. Remote receiver at fault.
6. Power supply circuit breaker tripped or fuse
blown.
7. Motor wires connected incorrectly.
8. Start capacitor at fault.
9. Centrifugal switch adjustment/contact points
at fault.
10. Wiring broken, disconnected, or corroded.
11. Circuit breaker at fault.
12. Circuit board at fault.
13. Motor or motor bearings at fault.
1. Reset machine circuit breaker.
2. Replace fuse/ensure no shorts.
3. Ensure correct power supply voltage and circuit size.
4. Replace batteries; stay in signal range.
5. Inspect/replace circuit board if at fault.
6. Ensure circuit is free of shorts. Reset circuit breaker or
replace fuse.
7. Correct motor wiring connections.
8. Test/replace if at fault.
9. Adjust centrifugal switch/clean contact points. Replace
either if at fault.
10. Fix broken wires or disconnected/corroded
connections.
11. Replace circuit breaker.
12. Replace circuit board.
13. Replace motor.
Machine
stalls or is
underpowered.
1. Dust collection ducting problem.
2. Collection bag full.
3. Canister filter clogged.
4. Dust collector undersized.
5. Motor overheated, tripping machine circuit
breaker.
6. Run capacitor at fault.
7. Extension cord too long.
8. Centrifugal switch/contact points at fault.
9. Motor or motor bearings at fault.
1. Clear blockages, seal leaks, use smooth wall duct,
eliminate bends, close other branches.
2. Empty and replace collection bag (
Page 25).
3. Clean canister filter or replace if at end of life (
Page 25).
4. Move closer to machine/redesign ducting layout/
upgrade dust collector.
5. Clean motor, let cool, and reduce workload. Reset
breaker.
6. Test/repair/replace.
7. Move machine closer to power supply; use shorter
extension cord.
8. Adjust centrifugal switch/clean contact points. Replace
either if at fault.
9. Replace motor.
Machine has
vibration or
noisy operation.
1. Motor or component loose.
2. Motor fan rubbing on fan cover.
3. Centrifugal switch at fault.
4. Motor bearings at fault.
1. Replace damaged or missing bolts/nuts or tighten if
loose.
2. Fix/replace fan cover; replace loose/damaged fan.
3. Replace.
4. Test by rotating shaft; rotational grinding/loose shaft
requires bearing replacement.
