The digital S/PDIF output of a media-server
(Sonos, Logitech Squeezbox or others) is
connected to the digital input on the left
speaker via the supplied adapter cable.
The hardware remote is connected to the
LS1 via CAT5, but only transmits control
signals, which enables convenient control
of the playback volume. The volume control
inside the media-server can remain unused.
In order to listen to your beloved vinyl collection,
the analog outputs of your phonostage can of
course be connected to the analog inputs on the
LS1 with the help of RCA to XLR adapter cables.
Please refer to the chapter „Hardware Control
Settings“ for correct level matching of the analog
inputs of both speakers.
The hardware remote is connected to the LS1 via
CAT5, but only transmits control signals, which
enables convenient control of the playback
volume.
Don´t forget that you can use any universal IR
remote to wirelessly control the functions of the
hardware remote, too.
