GRIDSTORE ADMINISTRATOR’S GUIDE 31
Renaming a vStore
You can rename a vStore at any time. Note that any UNC
(Universal Naming Convention)
paths will
be renamed, and any mappings to the vStore will need to be re-established after the rename occurs.
Tip:
Because the vStore will need to be stopped during this process, it is best to rename a vStore
during non-business critical times.
1.
In the left navigation tree of GridControl, navigate to the appropriate vStore. To do so:
•
Click the plus sign next to
vPools to expand it.
•
Click the plus sign next to the vPool that contains the appropriate vStore, to expand that
vPool.
•
Click the plus sign next to
vStores to expand it.
2.
Right-click on the appropriate vStore, and select Rename vStore from the short-cut menu.
The Rename vStore Wizard opens.
3.
In the vStore Name text box, enter a new name for the vStore, and click the Next button.
The vStore is renamed within the Rename vStore Wizard.
4.
Click the OK button.
The vStore appears with its new name in the left navigation tree in the vStores area.
Tip:
It is a good idea to check that all mappings to the vStore have been re-established.
