CHAIN GUARD
The chain guard must be clipped onto the chain and
sword as soon as the sawing work has been
completed and whenever the chainsaw has to be
transported.
CHAIN BRAKE
In the event of kick-back, the chain brake (3) will be
actuated via the front finger guard. The front finger
guard is pushed forwards by the back of the hand
and this causes the chain brake to stop the chain
saw, or rather the motor, within 0.15 s.
RELEASING THE CHAIN BRAKE
To be able to use your chain saw again, you must
release the saw chain again. First switch off the
chainsaw. Then push the front finger guard (3) back
into the vertical position until it locks in place. The
chain brake is now fully functional again.
SHARPENING THE SAW CHAIN
You can have your saw chain sharpened fast and
correctly by specialist dealers, from whom you can
also obtain chain sharpening equipment to enable
you to sharpen the chain yourself. Please follow the
corresponding operating instructions.
Take care of your tools. Keep your tools sharp and
clean to enable you to work well and safely. Follow
the maintenance regulations and the instructions for
changing tools
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Always wear safety goggles,
ear muffs, protective gloves
and heavy-duty work clothes!
Use the saw only with approved extension cables
with the prescribed insulation and connections
designed for outdoor use (approved rubber-
sheathed cables) which fit the chainsaw plug.
The chain saw is equipped with two safety switches,
requiring the use of both hand.
The chainsaw works only when one hand holds the
front grip (2) and the other hand actuates the switch
on the rear grip (1).
If the chainsaw does not run, the chain brake must
be released at the front finger guard (3). Be sure to
read the sections “Chain brake” and “ Releasing the
chain brake “ on this point.
After switching on, the chainsaw will run
immediately at high speed .
Do not use the machine above shoulder height.
Only use the machine for working dry wood.
If you use this machine for the first time,
it is advisable to work on a saw horse.
Never start sawing before the machine is running
at full speed and the serrated fender touches the
wood.
Always make a new cut. Never use a
previous cut to proceed sawing.
Always make sure that the power cable is guided
to the rear so that it does not get tangled with
branches and equipment when cutting.
POWER SUPPLY
Alimentation
The tool should only be connected to a supply of the
same voltage as that shown on the nameplate, and
it can only be operated on single-phase mains
current. Made with double insulation, it can
therefore be powered without earthing.
For low voltage power supply system, from 220V to
250V.
Switching electrical devices on/off causes voltage
fluctuations.
Operation of this device on an improper power
source may affect the operation of other devices. It
can be considered that it will have no negative
effects if the impedance of the power source is less
than or equal to 0.29 Ohm. The socket outlet used
for this device must be protected by a fuse or a
slow-acting protective circuit breaker.
AMBIENT CONDITION LIMITS ARE
MISSING:
After a long enough period of use of the machine,
the vibrations can cause a
disturbance of the blood supply to the hands (“white
finger disease”).
It is not possible to set a generally valid duration of
use, because the effect
vibration depends on several factors.
The following precautions will prolong the service
life:
- Keep hands warm (wear warm gloves);
- Take breaks.
The following factors shorten the service life:
- personal tendency to suffer from poor blood supply
(symptoms: fingers
often cold, tingling);
- Use at low ambient temperatures;
- Effort exerted on the handles (a very firm grip
interferes with the blood supply).
If the machine is used regularly for long periods of
time and the symptoms indicated
above (e.g. tingling in the fingers) occurs
repeatedly, it is
recommended to be auscultated by a doctor.
- Do not use the device in case of fatigue, in case of
consumption of medicines that can
make you drowsy or may cause discomfort, in case
of drug use,
alcohol or hazardous substances that can impair
reflexes and decision-making ability.
