Meter Pressurization
Refer to the Operator Manual for the procedure for fine tuning meter pressurization.
Start with pressures from the charts, which are based on crop, and for corn, seed shape and density.
NOTE:
These are suggested initial (starting) pressures. Use the seed monitor console to adjust the value up or down according to the
Operator Manual.
Corn Initial Meter Pressurization
Initial seed inlet Shutter for corn is: 3
1. Pick the chart based on seed shape (flat, round).
2. Pick a line based on seed size (large, small).
3. Find the seed density on the bottom scale.
4. Read the suggested starting pressure on the left scale where the line intersects the density.
US Customary Units
Example:
large round corn, 1260 seeds/lb (seed density)
Use the line on the right of the chart, under “Round Corn-Large” (based on the seed size).
Initial meter pressurization is 3.4 inches of water
The example is shown as dotted gray lines on the chart below.
