Colour scheme
The following colours are just a suggestion, so please feel free to change them in any way you wish. To help you
select the correct hues we have stated the RAL code numbers as well as the colour names. With this information
you should be able to obtain the right colours from any paint supplier or model shop. Let your contact at the paint
supply shop know your intended purpose for the paints, as this will help him select the correct type. We recom-
mend synthetic enamels. Don’t use cellulose paints!

Applying the decals
1.
Use a pair of sharp scissors to cut out the decals, and always cut out just the one which is required next.
Cut as close to the edge of the decal as possible.
2.
Place the decal on the model initially with the protective film in place, so that you can take your time over
positioning it accurately. This enables you to pick out and correct any inaccuracies.
3.
TIP
: this is a good procedure for applying large decals: position the decal carefully, then tape it in place at
one end (so that it cannot shift). Now peel away the protective film at the fixed end, using the tape as a
hinge, and gradually press the decal into place step by step until it is completely applied.
4.
TIP
: don’t place the decals under tension when applying them to the model, as the film is slightly elastic
and may distort if stretched.
5.
TIP
: when applying the large-area decals it is very easy to trap air-bubbles under the film. If this happens,
simply pierce the decal with the tip of a pin and press the air out of the hole using a firm spatula.
