Section 5 — System Operation
Still Capture and Save
1.
Select a Still Store output on the Still Store menu. If you plan to capture
a video/key pair the Still Store output selected must be paired.

Preview the selected Still Store output (see

Select the desired source for the still capture (see
).

Touch
Show Input
. The input source will appear on the monitor being
used for preview.
5.
If you will be capturing a video/key pair, touch
Include Key
.
6.
Touch
Grab V & K
. The source image will be captured. Note that although
this image is currently being displayed by the Still Store, it must be
saved in order to use it in the future.
Note
Images that have not been saved are only held temporarily. Selecting a dif-
ferent item or changing Still Store output delegation discards unsaved
images.
7.
If you are capturing a video/key pair and the key signal is not provided
along with the video signal (for example, a reel with video and key
presented sequentially), cue to the key material and touch
Grab Key
.
Note
A separate monitoring mechanism will be needed to view and cue sequential
key images on a graphics reel. The input cannot be previewed on the Still
Store once the video has been captured. You can wire a monitor directly to
the playback deck or use an available M/E to temporarily view the source
material.
8.
If you wish to position or crop the image, touch the corresponding data
pad and specify the desired modifications.
Note
Make sure you are in the correct folder before you save Still Store items.
9.
Touch
Save
to bring up a dialog box offering save options. You can
either:
•
Type in a specific number for the item,
•
Type zero (0) to have the system select the smallest available item
number, or
•
Touch
Enter
to save it to the current item number.
