Section 6 — L-S Series Panel Operation

Use the Category buttons to enter the number of that Destination.
Alternatively, you can use the Selector knob to scroll through the
available Destinations. If the entry is valid, the name of the Source will
appear in the Preset window in yellow, and the category/number for
the Source will be shown in blue.

When the desired Destination is displayed, press
Select
.
Selecting a Source
Note
If a Destination has been Protected or Locked by another panel, the
Protect/
Lock
button will illuminate steady amber (Protect) or red (Lock) and the Des-
tination will not be able to be switched. To continue, the Destination must be
unprotected or unlocked by the panel that set the protect or lock (the name
of that other panel will be displayed in the menu).
CAUTION
If the
Select
button is blinking, Sources will switch as the knob is turned (see
). Make sure Scroll Take is OFF before selecting
Sources with the following methods.
Selector Knob Method
1.
If necessary, press
Clear
to take the panel to its home state.
2.
Use the selector knob to scroll through the available Sources displayed
in the Preset window.
3.
When the desired Source is selected, press
Take
. That Source will be
switched to the currently controlled Destination.
Category Button Method
If your Jupiter system and panel has been configured with categories you
will be able to use the 16 Category buttons on the right to select Sources.
1.
If necessary, press
Clear
to take the panel to its home state.
2.
Press one of the 16 Category buttons on the right to select the desired
category (VTR, for example). The Category buttons then shift to
number selection mode.
3.
Use the Category buttons to enter the number of that Destination.
Alternatively, you can use the Selector knob to scroll through the
available Destinations.
4.
When the desired Source is selected, press
Take
. That Source will be
switched to the currently controlled Destination.
