Ths functon measures the depth of cuts made by the plotter to determne when the cutter blade should be
replaced.
Please utilize this function to know when to change blades as cutter-blade wear rate may differ depending on the
type of pen (fine ball point versus felt-tip), pen performance (plotting distance) type of material being cut, and the
Tool Condtons (amount of cuttng force, etc).
The Condton No's. are dvded nto a maxmum of 9 avalable groups and each group calculates the estmated
distance individually to determine the blade length. Condition No.1 for plotting pens is fixed as group 1; however,
Condtons 0, and 2-8 and assocated groups can be altered. Please note that estmated dstance cannot be
calculated n group 0.
If multple condtons are put nto a sngle group, the estmated dstance wll be calculated as the total for each
condton.
Furthermore, the weighted coefficient applied to each condition can be changed to adapt to the different wear
rates assocated wth the type of meda and the condton settngs used. For example, f condtons 2, 3, and 4
were under a sngle group, each condton would calculate an estmated dstance for A, B, or C. Then, you can
assign each a coefficient, for example, 0.7, 1.2, and 1.0, making the estimated distance of this group the value of
A x 0.7 + B x1.2 + C x 1.0.
Fgures' gvng a total length of cuts for each group of below 1m wll not be ncorporated after the machne s
turned off.
The blade wear detecton s enbaled when Blade Wear Setup s ON.
Checking the Wear Rate
When this display is on, you can confirm the present blade wear.
Operation
1
Press the [FAST] key n READY status.
Ths wll dsplay blade wear under the Condton No. menu.
When the blade wear exceeds 100%, the dsplay wll show
"Please change blade n READY status"
