FAC Reset Baud Rate to
Factory Defaults
You may restore the baud rate to its default value of 9600 baud by sending
a factory reset (FAC) command.

After sending the FAC command, you must send the reset (RST) command.

IG Turn Micro-Ion E Gauge
ON or OFF
The Micro-Ion E gauge measures vacuum pressure for N
2
or air within the
ranges listed in Table 5-6. As pressure decreases to 5 x 10 –3 Torr
(6.66 x 10 –1 Pa, 6.66 x 10 –3 mbar), you must send the ion gauge on (IG1)
command to turn the Micro-Ion E gauge ON and enable pressure readings.

The command includes the alpha characters “I” and “G” and the numeric
value 1 (ON).
In some instances, you might need to turn the Micro-Ion E gauge OFF.
Send the ion gauge off (IG0) command to turn the Micro-Ion E gauge OFF
and disable pressure readings.
