The 12-volt outlet on your Freedom 271 provides an easily accessible power supply for
accessories such as cell phones and spotlights. This outlet is located at the helm station next to the
stereo remote.

The anchor windlass includes a stainless steel bow roller. Please refer to the anchor windlass
owner’s manual for proper operation of the windlass.

Your Canyon 271 is equipped with two batteries and two select switches. An outboard engine
should be connected to each battery select switch. Either engine may be started with either battery
by selecting position “1” or position “2” on the select switches. In normal use, select position “1” on
the starboard switch and position “2” on the port switch so that both battery banks will be charged
simultaneously when the engines are running. The “1 + 2” position should only be selected in
emergency situations when neither battery alone will start the engines. Should this event occur, the
switches should be returned to normal setting after starting the engines. The DC accessories on the
boat will always be controlled by the starboard switch.
C A U T I O N
Never turn the battery select switch to the “off” position with the engine running as this could
damage the charging system .
