Motor Seal Replacement
Take special note of the groove positions of the grease
seal (GS), in relation to the grease hole in the flange
plate (FP) and the grease fitting (GF). The groove gives
a path for the grease to get into the cavity behind the
grease seal. Use a grease that has high water resistance and high
compression protections. If necessary, add grease on a
daily basis, or after each time the unit is cleaned down.
The illustration below shows the grease seal (GS) in a
deformed state, as it should be when the motor assem-
bly is complete and the seal is full of grease.
