INSTALLATION

WARNING

Pressure Relief Procedure
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury, including
splashing in the eyes or on the skin or electric
shock, follow this procedure before installing this
kit.

1.

Turn off the air and fluid supplies to the gun. On
the PRO4000 Gun, also turn the ES valve lever
to OFF.

2.

Trigger the gun into a grounded metal waste
container to relieve fluid pressure.

3.

Open the pump drain valve, having a waste con-
tainer ready to catch the drainage.

4.

Leave the pump drain valve open until you are
ready to spray again.

Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure Warning
above.

2.

Remove the air cap assembly from the gun.

3.

Turn the locking pin to the unlocked position

4.

Point the front of the gun down, squeeze the gun trig-
ger, and remove the fluid nozzle with the fluid nozzle
wrench, supplied with the gun.

5.

Remove the electrode (A) with the needle wrench,
supplied with the gun. Hold the nut of the needle shaft
assembly with a small wrench if the needle shaft as-
sembly turns.

6.

Using the resistor stud tool, supplied with the gun, un-
screw and remove the resistor stud (B) with the o–ring
(C), spring (D), and washer (E). See Fig 1. Discard the
old parts.
