16. GPS Explorer Local Edition
16.1. General Information
On the supplied CD-ROM you find the software GPS Explorer Local Edition for your
computer.
The GPS Explorer is multi-user capable and free of licence fees/royalties.
As user with costs of the mobile services GPSover IP and DATAover IP the GPS Explorer
allows you to see the vehicles of your fleet on your computer, to manage them, to quickly
and efficiently create analyses, to communicate with the driver and much more.
The GPS Explorer is available as Local Edition for the use with GPS-capable route
planners or as Web Edition with already stored map material. You can use both versions
of the GPS Explorer with the GPSeye IN1 immediately.
The GPS Explorer Local Edition can also be used with a small bandwidth of the internet
access (up from ISDN). The faster, however, the internet access the more comfortable is
the performance of the GPS Explorer.
Customers who want to continue to use their known map material make the right choice
with the GPS Explorer Local Edition.
The GPS Explorer Local Edition is considered to have a high performance since the
calculations of the single statistics are locally processed. The GPS Explorer requires a
state-of-the-art computer. According to CPU speed you can enjoy the high performance.
