Before Initial Use
Before you can use the device, you must:
• unpack the items supplied,
• clean the device.
Unpacking
CAUTION!

Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suf-
focation!
Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied and
Device Overview" chapter) and transport damage. If you
fi nd any damage to the compo-
nents, do not use them (!), but contact our customer service department (see the "Cus-
tomer Service" chapter).
Cleaning
There may still be some production residues on the device. To avoid harmful effects to your
health, clean the device thoroughly before you
fi rst use it (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter).
Use
CAUTION!

The double blade is very sharp! Please take care when using the device!

Do not use spoilt food. Never keep food longer than the best-before date.
❐
Keep hair, hands and other body parts away from rotating parts of the device while using
the device!
❐
Fruit may only be chopped up if the core/pips have been removed!
❐
Allow heated food to cool down slightly before you use the device.
❐
With hard foodstuffs, e. g. raw vegetables, or very large quantities of food, do not use the
device for longer than one minute without stopping. Then let the device cool down for
four minutes before you use it again.
To prevent accidental splashing, always place the blending attachment into the bowl
containing food
fi rst before you switch on the device.
1. Pour the food which is to be chopped up or blended into a bowl or the measuring and
mixing cup which is supplied with the device.
2. Place the blending attachment onto the motor unit in such a way that the arrow marked
on the motor unit is opposite the opened lock symbol.
3. Turn the motor unit in the direction of the closed lock symbol until the blending attach-
ment locks in place and the arrow marked on the motor unit is opposite the closed lock
symbol.
