6.2 System Monitor
In the
monitor mode
the system can be configured with the help of a menu. To use the
monitor mode you need to know which protocol is adjusted in your antenna.
6.2.1 How to start the monitor program
How to run the monitor mode depends from the active procedure.
6.2.1.1 Procedure Monitor Only
If the antenna is set to monitor only, this mode is started 10 seconds after turning on the
device.You do not have to transmit any further data and can skip the following chapter
6.2.1.2.
6.2.1.2 Procedure 3964R/transparent
The order to switch to the montior mode should be entered directly via a PC. Therefore, run
your terminal program.
If you are using HyperTerminal (section 6.1), install theprogram provided disk into your disk
drive and display the contents. If HyperTerminal has been correctly installed, the terminal
program can now be started directly by double clicking the respective *.ht file (
Moni-
tor9600.ht
at 9600 Baud and
Monitor19200.ht
at 19200 Baud). If necessary,
adapt the COM port (see section 6.1.1).
In case the antenna is activated you can transfer the appropriate text file from the disk by
using your terminal program. The following four files are on the disk.

Mon3964r.txt
Transfer if the system is adjusted to procedure
3964R
with "
HighByte first
". The file
contains the characters:
02 4D 4F 4E 49 10 03 16 in hexadecimal notation

Mon6439r.txt
Transfer if the system is adjusted to procedure
3964R
with "
LowByte first
". The file
contains the characters:
02 4F 4D 49 4E 10 03 16 in hexadecimal notation
