6. Heat Exchanger
If the heat exchanger needs replacing follow these instructions.
Points to attend to
–
Hoses, check condition for wear or leaks.
Check jubilee clips are sealing
If necessary drain the coolant from the system. A drain tap is provided on the side of
the engine. Attach a suitable hose to the tap before opening. Be careful not to spill or
splash the coolant on any components as it is a flammable liquid.
6.1 First remove the instrument panel on the top of the pump to gain better access to
the heat exchanger, see section 14 for more information.
6.2 Detach the four hoses connected to the heat exchanger -
Detach water supply hose to heat exchanger
– detach at heat exchanger
Detach the water return to suction hose at the suction tube.
