The PCI bus on the 3308290 supports PCI expansion cards via a compatible
backplane.

2.6.6 PCIe x1 Bus
The Intel® ICH8M-E GMCH has six PCIe x1 lanes.

Two PCIe x1 lanes are connected to Intel® 82573L GbE controllers.
„
One PCIe x4 is interfaced to the backplane through the edge connector.
2.6.7 Real Time Clock
256 bytes of battery backed RAM is provided by the Motorola MC146818A real time clock
(RTC) integrated into the ICH8M-E. The RTC operates on a 3V battery and 32.768KHz
crystal. The RTC keeps track of the time and stores system data even when the system is
turned off.
2.6.8 SATA Controller
The integrated SATA controller on the ICH8M-E supports three SATA II drives on the
3308290 with independent DMA operations. SATA controller specifications are listed
below.
