E.3.1 Install the Silicon Image RAID Host Adapater Driver
To access the
Silicon Image RAID Utility
, using a Windows Server 2003, XP, 2000, 98
or NT please follow the steps below:

Connect SATA drives to the system
. Connect two SATA drives to the system.
Make sure the drives have the same capacity, are the same type and have the
same speed.
NOTE:
Make sure the SATA drives are EXACTLY the same when they are
configured in a RAID configuration (RAID 0 or RAID 1). If they are not the
same size, disk drive capacity is sacrificed and overall performance
affected.
When Windows detects the newly installed SATA host adapter, it will open a
Driver Installation Wizard.
