Installing the PA0338X00X D-Box
PA0338X00X D-Box Installation
12
Verify if all positions on JP1–JP8 are installed correctly on the T20488-G2 Board and are
connected to CATs.
Note: Do not install jump jacks in positions that are not connected to CATs.
13
When installing Tokheim dispensers, connect the cable coming from the Tokheim 67 Box
to the barrel connector on the right hand side of the D-Box.
14
Restore power to each of the dispensers.

“Establishing Pump Loop Communication”
on
Connecting Field Wires to MTA Pigtails
Communication wiring from each Wayne dispenser and CAT must be connected to an
appropriate channel on the T20488-G2 (CATs) or T19547-G1 (dispensers) Distribution
Boards. Refer to the information below when connecting field wiring to the D-Box.
Communication wiring from each Tokheim Box (TED or 69) must be connected to an
appropriate channel on the T20488-G2. The wiring from the pump Box (67) must be
connected to the barrel connector on the outside of the D-Box.
Connecting Dispenser Field Wiring
Each Wayne dispenser must have a pair of data wires (positive and negative) used for
two-wire communication (dual-sided positions will communicate over one pair). These wires
must be connected to a channel on either P106 or P107 of the T19547-G1 Distribution Board.
Data pairs cannot be shared between separate sets of dispenser electronics. Daisy-chaining is
also not allowed.
Connecting SPC Field Wiring
Each Wayne SPC must have a pair of data wires (positive and negative) used for two-wire
communication. These wires must be connected to a channel on either P106 or P107 of the
T19547-G1 Distribution Board. Data pairs cannot be shared between a SPC and other
dispenser electronics. Daisy-chaining is also not allowed.
Connecting CAT/DPT/TED Field Wiring
Each CAT/DPT/TED dispenser must have a pair of data wires (positive and negative) used for
RS-485 communication (dual-sided positions will communicate over one pair). These wires
must be connected to a channel on P106, P107, P108, or P109 of the T20488-G2 Distribution
Board. Data pairs cannot be shared between separate sets of CAT electronics. Daisy-chaining
is also not allowed.
Note: If jumpers are installed in the “NORMAL” position, cut the unused pigtail loops
connected to the T20488-G2 Board and cap the wires with wire nuts. If jumpers are not
installed in the unused pigtail positions, then do not cut the unused pigtail loops.
Failure to follow the jumper methods described in the note above will result in
communication problems with the CATs.
