Note: If using a customer supplied router with wireless capability, the wireless capability must
be disabled.
Configuring Linksys
®
Router
To configure the Linksys Router (Q13708-05B), proceed as follows:

Connect a laptop to one of the eight ethernet ports on the router using a non-crossover CAT-5
cable.

Set the laptop NIC TCP/IP settings to obtain an IP address automatically.

Start

Run
.

Type
CMD
and click
OK
. The Command Prompt window appears.

Type
ipconfig
and click
Enter
. The current IP configuration of the laptop appears.

Note: After this router is preconfigured for the Passport system, the IP address must be set to
10.5.48.X.
