4.3.3 Performance Tests: 2500A Series
The performance tests in this section apply only to instruments that contain modulation capability, that
is, the standard 2500B and 2500S Series instruments where Option 17A, Delete Modulation Suite, is
not
installed in the 2500A Series Synthesizer.
4.3.3.1 Amplitude Modulation Tests
The following procedures test Amplitude Modulation Accuracy and Bandwidth at frequencies within
each band. See Table 4-2 for frequency band information.

• Function Generator

1. Set the UUT for the following settings:
External AM State: On
AM Sensitivity: 30%
Level: 0 dBm
Frequency: 12 MHz
MICROWAVE SYNTHESIZER (UUT)
