System Hardware Installation

3-7  Installing the Hard Disk Drive

Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the Hard disk drive:

•  Take note of the drive tray orientation before sliding it out.
•  The tray will not fit back into the bay if inserted incorrectly.

Follow these instructions to install Hard disk drive:

1.  Press the release button.

2.  Slide the hard drive cage towards the front of system.

3.  Pull the cage out of the ssystem.
4.  Insert the hard drive into the cage at diagonally 45 degrees and slightly push down the hard drive.
5. 

Pull the retaining clip outward and make sure the drive seated firmly.

6.  Install the hard drive cage with hard drive into system
7.  Connect necessary cables.
