STAGE 1
Open the appliance by unscrewing
the four M4 screws (
A
) and the 4 under head washers
provided (
B
) which fix the retainer cap (
C
) to
the body (
D
).
STAGE 2
Make 2 holes to allow insertion of 2 expansion plugs (
not supplied
) at the distances apart shown in
FIGURE 2
.
Use of “Fischer” M5 metal expansion plugs with screws of at least Class 6.8 (E) is recommended.
For correct application:
• Select expansion plugs of the appropriate length, considering the load to be supported
(weight of appliance Max 5Kg
+
surface exposed to the wind 0.035 m²) and the type of substrate (concrete-brick, solid-hollow, UNI,
etc...).
STAGE 3
Take the cable (
F
) leading out of the wall (recommended type H05RN-F section 3 x 1 mm²<HAR>) and fit it into the rubber cable gland
(
G
), breaking the membrane.
Take the body (
D
) and place it over the holes with the expansion plugs already fitted into the wall, and fit the 2 seals(
H
) into the seats
provided.
Start to screw in the 2 screws (
E
) (recommended size M5) , remembering to fit the 2 flat washers supplied (
I)
between the 2 seals (
H
)
and the 2 screws (
E
).
Tighten (2 Nm) the 2 screws (
E
).
Proceed to wire the terminal block (
L
) as shown in
FIGURE 2-3
.

earth conductor, yellow/green colour.
N
neutral conductor, blue colour.
Check that the cable gland (
G
) provides a perfect seal, sliding the cable (
F
) back for about a centimetre.
In versions with halogen lamp, silicone sheaths (1 large + 3 small) will be supplied.
Use the large sheath (
M
) to cover the cable (
F
) and the other three (
N
) to cover the three wires (Brown-Yellow/Green-Blue).
If necessary, shorten all the sheaths (
M-N
) to ensure that the three wires and the cable are covered effectively
(FIGURE 3).
Use only lamps (
P
) with power and of the type stated in the appliance’s nameplate data.
WARNING: FOR THE FLUORESCENT VERSION 26W TC-TEL GX24q-3 THE MAXIMUM LENGTH MUST BE 131mm (FIGURE 4).
STAGE 4
Replace the retainer cap (
C
) with the seal (
O
) into the body
(D
), taking care that the seal (
O)
is not pinched or pushed out of place.
Fix retainer cap (
C
) on the body
(D
), tightening (2.5 Nm) the four M4 screws (
C
), remembering to fit the 4 washers (
B
) under the heads
of the screws (
C
).
