In accordance with the liability of the manufacturer for his products as defined in the German "Product Liability
Act", the information contained in this brochure (product information and proper use, misuse, product perfor-
mance, product maintenance, obligations to provide information and instructions) is to be observed. Failure to
comply releases the manufacturer from his statutory liability.

Safety notices
3.1 Intended use

The Slimdrive SL NT GGS and Slimdrive SL NT-FR GGS is only suitable for use
à
in dry rooms
à
in automatic door systems for horizontally moving door leaves
à
in entrances and interior areas of pedestrian traffic in commercial plants and public areas.
à
The Slimdrive SL NT GGS and the Slimdrive SL NT-FR GGS may not be used as a fire or smoke protection door.
à
The Slimdrive SL NT-FR GGS is approved for use in escape and rescue routes.
à
The Slimdrive SL NT GGS may not be used as an escape and rescue path door.
3.2 Safety notices
à
The mandatory installation, maintenance and repair work must be performed by properly trained personnel
authorised by GEZE.
à
The country-specific laws and regulations are to be observed during safety-related tests.
à
GEZE shall not be liable for injuries or damage resulting from unauthorised modification of the system, and
the approval for use in escape and rescue routes is voided when unauthorised changes are made (Slimdrive SL
NT-FR GGS).
à
GEZE makes no guarantee for combinations with third-party products.
à
Furthermore, only original GEZE parts may be used for repair and maintenance work.
à
The connection to the power supply must be made by a professional electrician. Perform the power connec-
tion and equipment earth conductor test in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 610.
à
Use an on-site 10-A overload cut-out as the line-side disconnecting device.
à
Protect the display programme switch against unauthorised access.
à
The detection field of the movement detector in the direction of emergency exit must comply with the
AutSchR directive (for Slimdrive SL NT-FR GGS).
à
In compliance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, a risk analysis must be performed and the door system
identified in accordance with CE Marking Directive 93/68/EEC before the door system is commissioned.
